Here are some photos of the energetic and eccentric band, CocoRosie. These sisters stole my heart a few months ago after a friend highly recommended their interesting "freak folk" sound. After a tasty and surreal show at the Belly Up, I'm totally hooked. Bianca (Coco) and Sierra (Rosie) are with the talented people at Sub Pop Records, who obviously know how to find incredible artists (The Postal Service, Dum Dum Girls, Fleet Foxes, The Shins!!) I have very exciting news! San Diego friends-- make sure to set your DVR's this Saturday night to see some photos I took for NBC San Diego's new late night music show, SoundDiego! It airs after Saturday Night Live every week, and my photos are in the intro! For my non San Diego friends--here are a few of the images!  This was such a fun project!

 

 

John Meeks at The Habitat House | San Diego Music

A while back my sweet friend (RyanTannascoli.com) played the mandolin for a few songs with John Meeks and Joanie Mendenhall at the beautiful Habitat House. I had the pleasure of being invited to shoot the amazing River City play music up the California coast.  They were just nominated for a San Diego Music award for their album, Into the Quiet…Listen here! Thanks for having me along for the ride guys...I want more photo tour travels please!! =)

I got to takes photos for CityBeat recently, and experience The Tree Ring open for The Donkeys at their album release show. It was at Sushi Art downtown, which is such an amazing space! Bad Religion and Rise Against sell out San Diego | Photos for NBC's music blog!

I got the exciting opportunity to take photos for NBC's music blog Sound Diego, of Rise Against, Bad Religion, and Four Year Strong at the Rimac Arena @ UCSD. The sold out show was packed and sweaty with crowd surfers everywhere and hundreds of fans singing at the top of their lungs. The lighting crew deserves a big giant hug/raise for creating such dynamic and beautiful light! I was SO happy to be shooting in such conditions=) See the full gallery on NBC San Diego here!

Bad Religion put on such a good show! They had such genuine smiles the entire time they were playing...I really enjoyed them!

Wedding at The Prado

Danielle and Craig (the talented record spinning DJ Gonzo) got married at The Prado at Balboa Park. The day was full of vinyl, cocktails, amazing food from Chef Jonathon Hale, and lots of happy celebrating friends. Enjoy this sweet couple and congrats to the Gonzo's!
